Lenora Gates

Lenora Gates had an outstanding career with a national real estate company prior to forming Gates Real Estate Services Ltd. in 1996. Lenora is President of Gates Real Estate since the inception of the company and she joined Orange National Retail Group as a partner in March of 2002. Lenora is a Licensed Real Estate Agent in the Province of British Columbia and has over 16 years of retail tenant representation experience.

Over the last 14 years, Lenora has represented Starbucks and has successfully negotiated over 350 transactions for this tenant alone. During this relationship with Starbucks, Lenora had received several awards including “Top North American Broker of the Year” in 1995 and 1996, “The Starbucks Award of Excellence” in 2002, and “The Starbucks Visionary Award” in 2003. Lenora has represented many noted names in the retail industry including Whole Foods, Indigo, Chapters, Hallmark, Hard Rock Café, Baskin Robbins, Blockbuster, Jenny Craig, Payless Shoe Source, East Side Mario’s and Dairy Queen. In addition to servicing her exclusive clients, she had dedicated time to speak at the International Conference of Shopping Centres, the Urban Development Institute, the Real Estate Forum and British Columbia Shopping Centre Association events. Lenora was a Director and Corporate Secretary and Treasurer for Evolution Ventures Inc., a TSXV CPC company which went on to complete its qualifying transaction in May 2003. In 2000 and 2004, Lenora was nominated as “Canadian Woman Entrepreneur of the Year.” Lenora has served on the board of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation since 2002. Lenora has chaired fundraising efforts for West Vancouver Montessori, chaired and was co-founder of Lifelines Targeted Fundraising which rose over $700,000 for the purchase of the first Digital Image Mammography Machine located and in use in the British Columbia Cancer Agency.
